Failed drug swipe |
During late evening, PC Murray has had cause to stop a vehicle that he had sighted travelling through Church Gresley due to a strong pungent aroma of cannabis coming directly from this vehicle.
When the officer approached both the driver and passenger the aroma became significantly increased, both denied having cannabis on their possession. Unfortunately for both of them, PC Murray wasn’t undeterred and both the driver and passenger were searched. Cannabis was found and despite denying using cannabis driver provided a positive drug swipe reading which resulted in his arrest for driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of controlled drugs.
Needless to say, even if you haven’t smoked cannabis for a period of time and feel fit to drive a motor vehicle, you may still be under the influence of drugs and any experienced officer will take a proactive approach to negate you from causing harm to others. #Priorities | ||
